When someone says #GirlYouLookFamiliar

I was born in London. I lived there all my life, until I spent some time abroad from the age of 19 and now I've been living in Nottingham for almost a year (I'm 22 now by the way). No one in my 22 years long life has said "You Look Familiar" to me but one person (Be patient to find out who). I had never heard the music of an artist from Nottingham until I worked for BBC Nottingham and Tuntum Housing Association for the Nottingham Caribbean Carnival, in August 2011.

Twin Girls Talkin' Bout

Do You Know Any Twins or Have you Worked With Twins?
Well my answer to the question is I know triplets (3 sisters - they were practically my neighbours and we went to high school together even though they are a few years older than me.) and on February 11th 2012 I did a birthday photo shoot for a pair of twins who were turning 13 on the day.

Beauty at the last TICK-TOCKING minute

On November 18th 2011, I was on the verge of extreme desperation after being dropped/let down the evening before. I had my last model for my college photography project organised and in fact it was with a Professional Model. We arranged the time for the shoot and on the day before the shoot November 17th, whilst I was in fact conducting a photo shoot with someone else, I got an email to say "I'm unable to do the photo shoot. Something came up for tomorrow and I really cant change it. I'm so sorry for the short notice."
I wasn't angry, I was stuck. I hoped everything was alright with her and hoped that everything would be alright with me. I PLANNED/NEEDED TO HAVE 10 MODELS FOR MY PROJECT, THERE WAS NO WAY I WAS HANDING IN 9.

The PCB Graffiti shoot stood the weather test

Tuesday 17th January 2012, was the day PCB had a graffiti themed photo shoot but it was sadly the coldest day of the year at that point (in my opinion).
I had three locations planned for the photo shoot. Two graffiti scenes and another that was a complete contrast to the graffiti.
I knew it was going to be cold that day, so as I prepared what I was going to wear, I chose layers of clothes (although I dislike layers) and as I planned the look with my model, I told her to ensure that she was warm too. The cold weather is not for me and I make it my priority as the Photography to make sure my models are comfortable in every sense of the word.
I had some great ideas for the shoot, especially because we were going to two other locations so I wanted the ideas and creativity to keep flowing.

PCB on Instagram

I've known about Instagram for a while and to be honest, I got the app on my iPod Touch weeks ago and its just been sitting there.
For some very strange reason, last night I decided to start using it. I've seen what it is capable of and I really like it. Through my photography I'm able to be artistic and creative, express positivity but Instagram allows you to take it a few steps further. In terms of my photography, I can see them in a different light, add an interesting filter that flips its script, recreates the original and gives it a tone that I probably wouldn't have imagined using when capturing the shot.
I've decided to go back through my extensive archive of photos and upload them to Instagram. Once that is done I post it to the PCB Twitter @PCBphotography and that means if you haven't got an iPod/ iPad etc you have a look at them via the link.

New Life and Love

Perfectly Captured Beauty's first Maternity/ Family photo shoot was more than special for more reasons than it being my first.
1. The family is dear to my heart .
2. It took place in my favourite American State, with that being Florida.

African Beauty

I didn't do anything in regards to a project for Black History lasy year (2011) so here goes!
Today I was a little bored, something I never am because I always have something to do, so I created a task for myself and here are the results.
I call it African Beauty in the form of Still Life Photography

Good ol' Kevin

I like to believe that I have a heart of gold! (Thinking is believing and believing is being in my opinion)I'll continue believing! I don't want to blow my own horn (beep, beep!) but I make it my duty to treat people well, make them feel good about themselves by building their self-esteem, love with all my heart, make people smile and laugh, respect all individuals and look for the best in everyone.

PCB now has a Facebook Page

Facebook has such a large platform so it is only right for Perfectly Captured Beauty Photography to be known much more in the coming year.
